What Matters in Board Book Printing

Three details decide whether a board book feels premium or cheap:

• Paperboard thickness: 400gsm+ is the industry baseline for 0–3 year olds. Thinner boards warp or tear easily.
• Rounded corners: R≥5mm is not cosmetic. It disperses pressure and prevents cuts when toddlers handle the book.
• Inks and coatings: Soy-based inks and water-based coatings are the safe default for children’s products.

We handle die-cutting, laminating, gluing, and board mounting in our own factory. Our Heidelberg presses ensure color accuracy across the full print run.
